Range Payment Systems

Many of us in the golf range industry have noticed a huge uptick in our takings by introducing technology. Whilst this has been extremely beneficial for turnover there are other reasons why golf ranges are thriving today.

In the old days, many ranges were operated using a token system. These tokens were impossible to keep track of and fairly expensive in their own right. If you want to know how much you are turning over on your golf range, then it is almost impossible to get an accurate figure if tokens are involved. The use of tokens is wide open to internal abuse with members of staff often handing their friends a few extra tokens without thinking that there is any great crime involved!

Keeping track of a large amount of coins and having to bank them on a weekly basis is extremely time-consuming and expensive. More and more facilities are now operating systems such as Nayax which allows golfers to pay for their range balls using a credit card or a smart phone. The payment is made with ease, no change is necessary, no stock of pound coins is required and, perhaps best of all, the customer doesn’t mind how much the range balls cost because he or she is largely unfocused on a relatively small amount of money.

The Nayax system provides a seamless payment, beneficial to both customer and range operator

Many golf ranges are often remote from the centre of operations and systems can now be put in place which use Wi-Fi or even mobile phone connectivity to ensure there is a perfect audit trail and a seamless experience for the customer.

For those ranges that do not currently offer this payment option, I would urge you to contact Range Servant or European Golf Machinery (and others) who offer plenty of options for this simple increase to your turnover.
