PowaKaddy reveals strongest ever line-up with launch of Compact C2i GPS

Spearheaded by the market-leading Freeway range, the Compact C2i GPS enhances PowaKaddy’s compact offering as the company strengthens its trolley collection to ensure that there is a product available to meet the needs of every golfer.
The award-winning Compact C2i was the fastest-selling electric trolley of all-time when it was launched in 2017 and new for 2019, PowaKaddy has expanded its ultra-compact offering to include fully integrated GPS with optional EBS in the Compact C2i.

“We are delighted to be adding to our trolley offering with the Compact C2i GPS model,” commented PowaKaddy CEO David Catford.    “The 2019 PowaKaddy line-up is our most impressive range of electric trolleys ever and we are proud to be able to enhance this with the most intelligent ultra-compact trolley on the market.
“The Compact C2i has been a huge success since its introduction; the addition of GPS means that there truly is a PowaKaddy model available to meet the demands of every golfer.”

Despite the challenge of squeezing all of the technology into the device’s ultra-compact handle, the Compact C2i GPS is a cutting-edge machine that truly pushes the boundaries of electric trolley design.

“We believe our team of dedicated design engineers really have managed to successfully combine the convenience of built-in GPS with a simplicity of control married to the simple-2-fold operation that is the hallmark of this product,” continued Catford.
As the most compact electric trolley on the market in 2019, its Simple-2-fold® mechanism ensures that the Compact C2i folds to 20% smaller than its nearest competitor.
All pre-loaded inside the high-tech handle, the new GPS delivers fast and accurate distances to the front, middle and back of the green and hazards. A brand-new screen with a full colour memory in pixel (MIP) display allows for sharp viewing in all weather conditions, including bright sunlight.
Compact C2i GPS is also compatible with PowaKaddy’s new Mobile App allowing golfers to update course maps on the go, with the trolley coming pre-loaded with over 38,000 golf courses worldwide; no annual fees or subscriptions are required.
The 2019 C2i GPS is powered by the thinnest, lightest and most powerful lithium battery on the market and comes with an industry leading 5-year warranty.

Mizuno Tour Performance Studio Opens its Doors for Public Bookings In 2019

Renowned Japanese equipment manufacturer Mizuno has made ‘Tour Fit Experience’ bookings available at its state-of-the-art Tour Performance Studio at Bearwood Lakes Golf Club in 2019, offering the public the chance of an incredible, Tour-level, fitting experience usually only available to Mizuno staff players.
Opened in May 2018, Mizuno’s Tour Performance Studio is a service hub for Mizuno’s associated professional and elite amateur players when they’re away from the tour. Located within 25 miles of Heathrow Airport at Bearwood Lakes’ stunning driving range, the studio has everything needed to fine-tune players’ equipment: Trackman 4, tour-level golf balls, Swing DNA and a full line of heads and shafts for irons, woods and wedges. Bearwood Lakes is also the permanent base for Mizuno’s iconic European Tour workshop, when not employed on tour, so clubs are assembled for golfers while they wait on site and Tour Fit customers will benefit from this amazing service.
Amateurs can experience the incredible fitting program at the Studio via the limited number of Tour Fit appointments that have been made available to the public from February 2019. Customers will be welcomed for a full day from 9am to 3pm, during which time they will receive the same treatment as any staff player: A complete “through the bag” custom fitting session, followed by a build at Mizuno’s European Tour workshop.
The Tour Fit Experience will also offer wedge grinds, stampings, some tour issue shafts and other components that are generally only available through the tour. Clubs purchased will be ready to take away on the day.
“This is a great opportunity to be treated like a tour pro for the day, in the same studio, with the same technicians who work with our contracted European Tour professionals,” said Alex Thorne, Tour Operations Manager for Mizuno.
The fee for a day’s fitting and service with the team is £500, to be paid in advance. The price does not cover the cost of any equipment recommended and this will be charged at £RRP, with possible upcharges for shafts/components that may not be included within the regular custom fitting program. Customers should take their current clubs with them on the day to allow comparison.

Golfers wishing to take advantage of this exclusive and unique opportunity should email the Tour Performance Studio team at tourfit@mizuno.co.uk to make a booking.
